Centre for Language Evolution Studies 🇵🇱
CLES is a scientific group at the Faculty of Languages, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland. It aims to investigate various aspects of the science of language evolution, including the usage of pantomime in language evolution, an evolutionary approach to linguistic politeness, or cooperation and alignment in conversation.
Interdepartmental Student Association ‘Goryl’ 🇵🇱❤️
‘Goryl’ (eng. gorilla) is a student association at the Department of Human Biology, University of Wrocław, Poland. Goryl associates students fascinated with the biological basis of human behaviour. More precisely, Goryl’s interests concern: primatology, evolutionary psychology, anthropogenesis, the biology of human attractiveness, behavioural ecology, and behavioural genetics of humans.
Evolutionary Psychology Lab 🇺🇸
The lab focuses on the psychology of close relationships, particularly romantic relationships. EPL studies phenomena such as jealousy, infidelity, relationship satisfaction, physical abuse, and sexuality.
Battistuzzi’s Bioinformatics Lab 🇺🇸
The lab utilizes custom-made computer programs to better analyze large biological data sets. The main goal of the lab is to improve the understanding of ancient prokaryote evolution and to investigate the evolutionary origin of infectious diseases.
